Decor

It's finally Fall....well atleast the calendar says so. In Alabama it's still in the 80's and just as hot as summer, BUT I couldn't hold out any longer on decorating our front door for Halloween. It's our first holiday in the new house so the excitement was killing me trying to wait until the first day of October.

I didn't go over board since it is only our first year, and I plan on going way over board for Christmas. The fiancé and myself have already argued about how many trees were going to put up this year...Any who, most of the the stuff I purchased you can find at your local target, tj max, and hobby lobby, I'm sure I will add little things here and there leading up to Halloween. Pumpkins and mums are easy ways to add a fall touch to any outside space. I am in love with the heirloom pumpkins this year! We went this past weekend and picked up these cute babies from a nursery in Birmingham. We also got the mums for a steal at Lowes. I'm looking for a plaid mat to put under the gather mat I found at hobby lobby, and amazon seems to have quite a few to choose from. I just can't stand that crack in the middle of the porch it was there when we bought the house, and is on the list of many things that need to be fixed.

I went with basically all neutral colors, and when I do a house tour y'all will understand why. I just can not commit to color, not sure why I'm just a grey neutral kind of girl. Our whole house is grey on the inside...literally. So there you have it decorating for Halloween on a tight budget and staying within a neutral color palette. Let me know what you think, and if you have any questions on where I purchased my decor. I hope you've enjoyed my first post and come back next time. Happy Monday Friends!

xoxo,
