Banana Bread
So, this past weekend it was gross and rainy due to Hurricane Nate, so we were in the mood so stay in and cook dinner Saturday night. We did our usual steak and potatoes but Cameron wanted something different for a sweet treat. He suggested on making some banana nut bread well, if you know me you know that I'm not that great of a cook. I mean I can cook anything in the crockpot but stuff from scratch is just not my strong suit...(yet). I promise I'm still working on the cooking thing! Since Cameron wanted it I decided to find a recipe and make it for him, and let me just say it was the EASIEST recipe ever! It took no time at all and Cameron absolutely loved it. So here is the recipe I followed and tweaked it just a little bit because he didn't want any nuts in it. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups of bananas ripe
5 eggs
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
6 tbsp buttermilk
1 cup maragrine
*Cinnamon I added that myself and just sprinkled a good amount at the end before it went in the oven
Directions
1. Mix all the ingredients together. *Let mixture sit for 1 hour
2. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 60-65 mins at 350 degrees. If using a bundt pan bake for 50-60 mins at 300 degrees.
3. Let stand until almost cool. Loosen bread from sides with a sharp knife and set aside.
And there you have it a super easy and extremely delicious banana bread recipe. My sister saw me making it over on snapchat and had to come over and get a piece. Try out the recipe and let me know how you like it! I love baking during the fall even though I'm still learning tips and tricks! I hope you've enjoyed this recipe and Happy Friday Friends!
xoxo,
Emilly
